Oh just wonder. The idea of these boards is pretty cool for woods freeride, grinding and sliding over things, but it also have a low gravity center and it's shorter.
In a theory it gives a different bunch of possible tricks.

Speak to Andy (pike-highland) he has one. Not too sure if he has been kiting on it

i have used it many times
the main problem is that they dont turn anywhere as effectively as a mountain board or dirtsurfer so you find yourself leaning back only to fall over as your board is still pointing slightly downwind. (i tend to chop and change between boards in any session). if you rode one of these and nothing else you could retrain your motor skills to cope with the difference.
the way around this is to retrain yourself to turn by pressing down on the tail and flicking the front in the desired direction.

Thanks. I'm asking because I just ordered one [they half price now] for freeride in woods in mind, I'm an ex skateboarder [long long time ago] and I want some fun which is not wind-dependent ;] and imagine that you finding a big long tree trunk on the beach
Turning using a kicktail should be quite easy for me to get use to, in fact when I rode mine scrubATB for the first time I felt something like a lack of kicktail But now it's gone.
We shall see.
