.....of pimping my Trampa - spray it some nice colour and give it some graphics so I can easily spot it after I have wiped out and been dragged down the beach.

Well for a bit of advice I rang the dudes at Trampa and spoke to Ed, or maybe it was Ted, I never know which.

During the conversation I mentioned the fact that my deck has funny white lines on the side, and he told me not to spray it as it was very very rare, They were experimenting on adding stiffness to the board by adding layers of glass fibre to a 13 (or maybe it was 12) ply deck. Only 8 14 ply equivalent decks (2 layers of glass cloth) were produced in this fashion, and only a couple of these went to customers when they were low on stock.
Now my deck is a 15ply and in fact has 3 layers of glass cloth, and even less of these were produced. It turns out that I have one of the only 35deg 15ply kitedecks ever produced either by the glass fibre method or the normal method.

What does this mean, I hear you say.................. absolutely nuffin........ unless some geek sets up a trampa museum and I can sell it to them for a gazillion quid!

i think one of my boards had a layer or 2 of glass in it too. thought it was more common..... wonder if the museum would take mine too...

im still considering getting the bottom of my hacked up deck covered in a strechy vinyl. not sure how well it would stand up to being bottomed out on rocks and stuff but it would be a lot easier to achieve a smooth shiney surface than spray paint...

also means you could get a fancy design done on top...

There's a guy on the Racekites forum who covered the bottom of his deck in sticky back plastic, it looks like Smarties I think he got it from a DIY shop, can't really remember.
Have a look in the boarding section of their forum, it'll be there somewhere.

i was thinking about having a mirror type chrome vinyl though for major pimpage

rides better than expected, only been out once or twice since tiree though so its barely been tested. tempted to change the bindings for f2s or something...
