hi all i was on you tube and i seen some land yachts racing along side buggies could this happen in the scottish race seen?

Could be interesting. We will be taking a bunch of landyachts to Tiree again this year and I hope to use them to get action shots, of the buggies. I think the yachts are slower to get up to full speed but once there they are quick, still think the buggy will be faster though unless you get the massive land yachts...now they shift!

I would say the combination would have it's added dangers, particularly at the marks, I could picture lines and masts catching very frequently and possibilities for injury would be much higher with the landyachts and all their added poles and things.

Would be ace fun though and I volunteer myself as an X-Sail camera man!!!

also i know that my Blokart is supposed to go at least 11 degrees to the wind so would find an easier line to the next marker where as a buggy may have to tack upwind
