BIG Wind days 1 Year, 2 Months ago
Ok all what is or what was your favorite big wind kite.
Something in the bag that you will always go for when it's gusty or big wind.

I have a 1.5 bullet that i like for the winter.
Was looking at Pansh kites 1.5 - 2.0m size.

Anyone got one what they like or as above .

1.4m Buster Mk1. I remember the First year I had it, when the Irvine Flyers were still going strong, they all said to me that I need a bigger 'proper' kite to buggy with. When the winter months came along I would be one of the only people out buggying with the little 1.4m buster as no one else had anything small enough!

I'm anticipating here that the busters littlest brother will make an appearance with stories from tiree.....

I remember your 1.4m Buster, James. It was almost bigger than you at the time

My Buster was only marginally bigger at 2.0m but it got plenty of outings when it was blowing a hoolie! The lines snapped but the kite survived ...... Flydad (Tom) now has it somewhere in his kite bag.

At the moment my 2m Brooza II is my weapon of choice, but expect to be flying the 4m Killer depower a lot more in these conditions (although it's not a well behaved during landing).

Hope the wind picks up as it's a lovely day out there!

Cheers
Steve

oh ye 0.7m PKD Buster in 70mph winds.....that was a crazy day but sooo much fun!
Had to use a harness and even then I was cruising up and down Gott Bay for ages. Not had it out in those winds since.
My next favourite is the new 1.4Buster its brilliant, plenty of power and handles the gusts really well. Very stable in high winds as well.
If you want to give it a go Kev your more than welcome, but might be a while before we get the winds.

I still have some modifications I want to do to the PKD Nippair as well which is 1.0m and I reckon it could be a good high wind kite with some changes.
