Hi folks, I have been reading the forums for a while but never bothered to post. I live in forfar and my main beaches are Lunan bay and St Andrews when I can get transport. I have been kiting for about 5 years but only really got into it last year when I got the board and the Blade. I have only used the board a few times and am still pretty poor at it.

I know some people from here fly at Arbroath, is it the park next to the car park for the cliffs you use?

Anyone else local?

Welcome to the TK forum. Its Vicky park that they use Arbroath, its pretty sweet when the wind is blowing in the right direction.
Look forward to seeing you at St Andrews or at the vicky, if you go to youtube and search for "Vicky Park kiting" you will see two videos I made when we popped over to meet up with Jim and the locals.

South Easterly is bang onshore but its workable from an Easterly right thro to a south westerly

Unless my compass is wrong, southerly is onshore but anything from the south is ok. Easterly blows over the top of the cliffs and is a bit lumpy, south westerly is fine as is south easterly.

Ok cheers, I probably won't be able to make it over very often as I need to persuade my parents to give me a lift and they are rarely interested in taking me somewhere to fly :undecided: Do you fly there at any particular times or just whenever the wind is right?

hi stu me and jim fly the vicky every other day mate rain or shine ,,,we have loads of kites and are willing to give anyone a blast on them ,,,,as for your kite the sammi 2m will cover kites from 2m to 3.5 m it has that power very smooth and constant power ,a winner every time !! but i have the cult and sammi ,libre,blades,yakuza etc etc ,,dont be afraid to come over to us guys when your down we dont bite !!! cheers matt
