Hello everybody!! 3 Years, 9 Months ago
Hi
Great to find this forum. I am just getting into the sport having had enough of lugging loads of windsurfing gear around, so am looking to make the crossover.
I've had some good advice so far and have been told to get a trainer kite, a 4mtr with 4lines. I've yet to buy, but will do so soon and want a kite to let me progress onto a land board and then eventually onto kitesurfing. I'll mainly be flying at Troon or Barassie and hope to see some of you guys out there. I'll also keep my eyes on this forum.
Cheers
PMR

Just don't get to carried away with the thought till you've experienced the conditions in an Easterly. Its really lumpy coming in over the town and although the grass area is open enough for any direction Easterly winds are about the worst there can be at Stevenston.

Don't let me put you off going, it'll improve your learning curve, just be aware there are far better directions for the area, still enjoy your fly!

Hi PMR,
Welcome to the TK forum.

Some great people over on the west coast who will be happy to help, one of our Team Riders (James) is based over that way and I am sure he would be happy for you to try any of his kit (depending on wind conditions of course) and give you any advice you need.

With every new member I keep on meaning to update the TK shop! Lets see what I can do this week

hi welcome to the forum.
if you're looking for a start off kite have a look at the PKD and the Ozone range.
Both are extremely well made and virtually bomb proof especially the PKDs. i'm sure others will agree. if you get a chance try before you buy, all gear is different!
hope that helps!!
