Hi folks 3 Years, 9 Months ago
I live in Elgin and have bought a 4mt beamer 111 and wish i had found this site before purchasing my gear .Better to buy in Scotland and get better after sales service me thinks .Will try to get to St Andrews on the 26th to get some tips from the professionals .I also purchased a buggy after looking at Popeys site and i wish there were more folks up here who were into the sport as it helps to go out with other folks ,i aint into jumps ect just wanting to blast along the beach .My pal bought a 12mtr kite to go kite surfing and that was my intention 2 but after seeing him being dragged along Rosile beach in an uncontrolled manner  i think ill stick to dry land for now .

Hi 'Saltire'
I would be interested to hear what you think of your kite as i am just venturing into the sport. I contacted 'Skymonster' in Edinburgh and they recommended the beamer3 4mtr as a good start as a trainer which i can progress onto use with a land board.

Cheers

Its ok but as its the first traction kite i have owned i cant say if its good or bad .It has plenty of pull and seems very well made and is easy to get on with including reverse launching .The wind conditions have been crap since i bought it and cant wait to try it out in 20mph winds .

Any land spots suitable up around Dingwall/Conan Bridge area, I'll be working there Mon/Tues/Wed, next week before moving down to Elgin for a day on Wed or Thu.

Just wondering if its worth sticking the wee bug and a kite or six in the van for a bit of an evening play

not really in the imediate area tom, although the school field at maryburgh looks like it should be ok for an easterly. its only another 40 mins up to dornoch airfield which is ok for any wind, although you need s or n ish for the longer run.
