They had a part about kite boarding in the cotswalds.

Didn't see Countryfile, but did hear a piece on the radio at the weekend about the re-instatement of the dunes at St. Andrew's. Recent work is not as a result of the storms but was part of the long term plan for restoring the dune structure.
They will be covering the new man-made dunes with hessian mating before planting with grasses to stabilise them. if anyone fancies a bit of voluntary work they are looking for volunteers to join a planting party.

Not bad footage on Countryfile, Unk. Agreed, not sad at all (compared to watching "Over The Rainbow" beforehand!)
Nice flying from the young man in question.
I used to live down the road (Cheltenham) from Cleeve Hill and my mate used to work on the radio transmitters in the background. It's a nice part of the world.
Just need to figure out how we can entice the lovely Julia Bradbury to pay a visit to Stevenston so that we can teach her how to buggy. I suppose the views across to Arran are pretty spectacular!

A quick part about the windest place in Britian 
but on the plus points its got kite surfing & buggying 
countryfile
This link only has the kite surfing part but the main program has a section on learning to fly a kite & buggy right at the end of the program.
