TOPIC: Strop's
#35646
Strop's 2 Years, 9 Months ago
Hi
I want to use a strop with a fixed bridle and a harness due to the fact my arms are very weak (I suffer from M.E.)
My question is how long should it be and where do I get one,or what do I make one from ?.
Most of those I have seen pictures of look very short.
Thanks
Si

Hi Si,

If your going in a buggy you could use something like this... (or make something similar)

If you just need a strop then you could get one from here :

http://www.surface-tension.co.uk/?p=products-view&id=495

If you use both then that would give you a longer reach

"over £100" Ouch ! I think I will start off small and work my way up to that sort of thing.

mac007 thank you so much, that realy is very kind of you.

I wont need it this weekend anyway as I am so stiff from the last 2 days kite flying that I can hardly move.
I cant straighten my legs fully or get my arms above my head
It was worth it though, funny, scarry and great fun.
I got dragged head first along the ground, then dragged along on my bum, then lifted 8' up and 20' down wind when I wasnt expecting it.
Finaly I got some control and even managed to get some small but controlled jumps in before my body screamed ENOUGH ! and I had to give up.

Cheers
