Kite Club 3 Years, 8 Months ago
|
|
|
Hello everyone, I am in the process of setting up a kite club with my cadet squadron, in order to introduce new people into the sport and teach them kite safety, and responsible flying. I am in great need of help with the matter of equipment, I have already put out a plea to manufacturers and shops, and we are in dire need of equipment to get us started, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Why not apply for some funding.... there's allsorts of organisations giving money away to good causes. Like the National Lottery fund.

Yeh I know its an air cadet Squadron, Used to b Flt Sgt at 1195 (Irvine).
Im sure you's allready had kit kicking about?
And whats the insurance situation there just now? I remember trying to do the same thing with my sqadron but Wing Knocked it back because of insurance reasons. But the whole wing staff is different now, so it's probably all changed

There were 2 instructors trained at ayr ATC to teach Power Kiting
If you intend to do any tuition - please attend an official trainers course I am the contact for the BPKA and there are courses running in scotland on a regular basis.
As for funding there are plenty of places - I was told only this week of an organistation getting £1950 for equipment.
try funderfinder.co.uk
More info available on a course.
