This beach is located to the North of Belhaven beach (which is covered elsewhere) past the river Tyne. To get to this beach follow the A198 from the A199 passing through Tyninghame up to the top of the rise then turn right along Limetree Walk. Follow this road to the end where there is a car park. To get to the beach from the car park you require to walk for about 1mile but it is worth the walk compared to Belhaven!! At the eastern end of the car park turn left heading to the Log Cabin. Follow this road until it turns right at a gate. Follow the path to the side of the gate which is locked and then turn right. Continue on until the road takes a left turn at the dune and you will see a path heading over the dunes onto the beach.

This beach is approximately 1.5miles long with a long stretch of sand running the length of it. It has a hard surface on most of the beach but is a bit wet closer to the sea which can still be used. However there are some deep holes peppered along the beach and near the northern end the beach can be quite badly rippled just near the Peffer Burn.

This beach is suitable for any wind with an Easterly direction as there is a large Dune running the length of the beach. North would be possible but would cause a lot of running in the water.
