Dined here last Friday night (29th July)
Lovely relaxed surroundings even though our table was in the middle of the bar area.
Duck and watermelon salad was tasty but salad dressing was a bit sharp and duck a little dry.
My main of pancetta wrapped pork fillet on a bed of beetroot with fondant potato was delicious and beautifully cooked.
John’s main was a med rare Sirloin with a cute little bucket of chips, again cooked to perfection.
Dessert for me was the Scottish cheese board which had an excellent selection and I’m ashamed to say I couldn’t finish, John had a selection of the absolutely gorgeous, as ever, Stewart Towers Ice cream, http://www.stewart-tower.co.uk/
I can’t tell you how much the final bill was as it was my birthday treat but it was a great evening, fabulous food and a lovely atmosphere.
They do a highly recommended High Tea which I will sample in the near future and report back on it.
Well worth the wee trip out to Meikleour.
